Olympic spectacular showcase!

July 18th, 2012

Congratulations to everyone for an Olympic spectacular showcase!

For this year’s end of year performance we were joined by plenty of family and friends to celebrate the Olympic Games.

All the performances showcased work from across the curriculum, including a giant triumphal arch created by Post 16 and a ‘Go for Gold’ banner made by Key Stage 3. Primary performed a sports song and dance entirely in French! There were songs, instrumental pieces, drama and poems performed by every age group and enjoyed by all.

As an added bonus everyone had their photograph taken with a real Olympic torch, kindly brought to us by Bernie from the New Brighton taxi trip and Andrew, a past pupil who ran with his torch in London. What a great once in a lifetime experience for us all!
