Our Aims

Catholic Blind Institute seeks to provide an environment in which our children, young people and adults are enabled to achieve a life of fulfilment, security and dignity, irrespective of disability, infirmity or age.

Who benefits from the charity’s work?

• Children and young people from 4-19 years of age, who have a visual impairment and possibly other disabilities benefit from specialist education and care provided at St Vincent’s School. Other children in this age range are supported in mainstream schools and through independent mobility training
• Those who lose their sight or suffer sight problems as adults benefit from the services provided and the facilities available in our Visual Rehabilitation Centre
• Families, friends and carers of beneficiaries benefit from the reassurance  provided by the high quality care and services we deliver on a daily basis.
