We started preparing for the festive season on the last day of November. Residents were invited to help decorate the Christmas tree and enjoy a sherry and mince pie. Other festive activities included Christmas Crafts, such as card and wreath making.

A Yule Log decorating competition took place on Christmas Eve, which was judged by Jay, one of the Chefs at Christopher Grange. Congratulations to the winners who were:

• First Place – John from Rhona House
• Second Place – Gerrard from Vincent House
• Third Place – Mary from Marillac

In addition we had a Christmas market/table top sale, Bingo, Christmas crosswords and play your cards right. Boxing Day consisted of a movie on Greenside enjoyed with a glass of Baileys and the last of the mince pies.

Christopher Grange hosted a Christmas Party, we had entertainment from Lilli Moore and residents had decorated the table cloths for the food trolleys. It put us all in the Christmas spirit!

Trips out involved some residents visiting the Suites Hotel for the Golden Oldie Christmas lunch and a shopping trip to Belle Vale.

We had the pleasure of St Edwards College Choir and the Liverpool Male Voice Choir performing for us.
