A new chapter in CBI’s history is welcomed along with Dr John Patterson as the new Principal of St Vincent’s School. John has been at Liverpool Hope University for ten years and will bring a different approach to leadership of the school as the educational landscape continues to alter, almost on a daily basis. His experience and research in being at the forefront of new developments within the higher education sector will ensure the school continues to move forward in this exciting and testing era.

John follows our most successful school leader of recent years: Stephen Roberts who has taken well-earned retirement after forty years of teaching and leading schools. During almost nine years with us, Stephen led from the front, was always aspirational, was tireless in seeking new ideas to use for improvement and achieved Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ grading for the school multiple times including doing so under the most recent and testing inspection regime. We owe him a great debt of gratitude and will repay it by developing further the work he started.
