Little Moreton Hall

July 15th, 2012

Early in July 3I visited Little Moreton Hall in Cheshire.

The staff at the hall made us very welcome and went to a great deal of trouble to help the children to appreciate what it would have been like to live in Tudor times. Pupils had the opportunity to dress up in Tudor costumes and to find out about herbs and the medicines which could be made from them. Each pupil made a pomander from fragranced herbs, which they brought home with them.

We were blessed with fine weather for once this summer and were able to enjoy lunch in the gardens.

The children learned a great deal from the visit and were a credit to the school.
