Children take over top jobs!

November 11th, 2011

On Friday 11 November, children and young people will be taking over St. Vincent’s for the day. The activities are being organised as part of Children’s Commissioner’s Takeover Day 2011, a national event led by the Children’s Commissioner for England which gives children and young people the chance to shadow jobs, get involved in decision-making and offer their opinions on key issues.

Seventeen young people applied for, and were offered, posts throughout the school including Principal, Deputy Principal, Health Care Co-ordinator, Site Manager, Catering Assistant and teaching posts.

The build up to the day has involved shadowing staff, making decisions and working on special projects in preparation for the event.

Watch this site next week for more news and photos of the day.
