Local GP’s visit as required and a specially designated GP is responsible for the management of our Palliative care Residents. District Nurses visit the Residential units and the Nursing unit has its own Registered Nurses. Optical, Dental, Chiropody and Physiotherapy services may be accessed through the PCT or privately.
There are many open areas around the building where Residents may go with their friends or families which includes our beautiful courtyards/gardens.
One area is the ‘Market Place’ with its wonderful tactile murals, hair dressing salon (with a Hairdresser available four days a week) and Coffee Shop run by RVS volunteers. The Grand Piano attracts entertainers and families.
All areas are accessible by wheelchair and on site car parking is available. We provide a daily cleaning service and a full laundry service which operates on site six days a week. The Residents have access to a public telephone in the ‘Market Place’ should they require it and Residents can also arrange for the daily delivery of newspapers.
