Activities – June 2018

July 22nd, 2018

This month we had t he return of a couple of our Residents favourite choirs – Alder Hey choir and the Pastoral Ladies choir.  As usual these where are big success and thoroughly enjoyed by all those who attended.

Students from St Edwards are still coming in to spend time with out Residents and this month have been playing bingo and charades and some students have even been playing the piano for our Residents.

In honour of Alzheimer’s day we had a cup cake day and we raffled a LARGE cup cake with all the proceeds to go to the Alzheimer’s Society to help them with the wonderful work they do.

As the World Cup started in June we decorated the Market Place with bunting and we had our own sweep on the go, this seemed popular with our Residents – especially our male Residents!

As usual we have continued our trips and this month we went to Sefton Park (whilst this wonderful weather continues) and went to the CafĂ© at St Vincent’s School for our lunch!  We continue with our everyday activities which our Residents enjoy which includes book club, knitting club, bingo, quizzes and arm chair exercise.
