The residents are preparing for the festive season

November 28th, 2012

As the nights are getting longer and the days get colder our resident pupils are busily preparing for the festive season . Bridgman and Caulfield are a hive of activity, everyone’s busily foraging for Christmas trees and decorations,  and there is fierce competition surrounding which group’s will be the best dressed!

Lights are being unravelled, musical angels are singing and of course Sue will need to go out and buy more chocolate santas because seemingly they have just DISAPPEARED!!!

This year our visit to the Grotto is on 12th December. We will be visiting Santa in Beechley Stables to give him our very long lists (including the staff). Then return to school for a Christmas party with a difference as it’s a double celebration for James R’s 18th Birthday.

We will be having a “chippy tea”, followed by lots of drinks, cakes and sweets, which are always on offer this time of year. If we can move after eating all that there is a karaoke competition.  We have contestants of a very high standard this year and the judges have got a job on their hands with this year’s talent.

Christmas Concert 2012

November 23rd, 2012

This year our Christmas Concert will be held on Tues 18th December 2012. There will be two performances – one at 2pm and another at 7pm. The pupils will be performing in a traditional Carol Service and Nativity

As the pupils are working very hard preparing the play, we would appreciate that all of them are able to take part in both performances, if possible.

If you feel that it is impossible for your child to stay for the evening performance, please inform school by week ending 30th November 2012.

Please could you ensure that your child has black leggings/trousers for the performances.

If your child is a day pupil

Arrangements have been made to allow day pupils to remain in school for the evening performance. A meal will be provided for those pupils remaining in school.

If day pupils are to remain in school, could you please inform the transport/taxi that they do not need be collected from school at 3.45 p.m. on that day.

Could you then make arrangements to collect your son/daughter at 8.30pm, following the evening performance.

To ensure adequate seating is available, and to comply with fire regulations, could you please indicate the number of seats required at each performance, by completing the reply slip sent home and return it as soon as possible.

Thank you, as always for your co-operation.
