Activities – May 2016
June 3rd, 2016During May 2016 our Activities Co-ordinators arranged various activities for our Resident’s which included the monthly Social with fish and chips (from the local Chip Shop), our weekly Book Club, armchair exercises, entertainment, quizzes including ‘play your cards right’ and many more.
During May 2016 one of our Resident’s Ken celebrated his 100th birthday with a party and entertainment in the Market Place.
Ken received a card from the Queen celebrating being a 100 years young. Ken really enjoyed his day with entertainment – a right good old fashioned knees up! With our Resident’s here at Christopher Grange and some of our staff joining in!
Ken was delighted with his card from the Queen but also a card from his beloved Liverpool Football Club.
Some of our Resident’s also went out for lunch and then to a local pub where the Resident’s toasted their health and friendship! A wonderful day had by all.
This month our Resident’s celebrated starting a new book in our weekly Book Club. We have just started reading Tom Jones “Over the top and back”, post autobiography’s include Katie Piper and Cilla Black.
We have also had Merseyside ‘Just Sing’ choir come and perform for our Residents on the Market Place who also went and performed on our Nursing Unit.
Other activities included Bingo, where there was a selection of prizes for the winners!
