During April we celebrated the Easter period by making our very own Easter cards and some delicious chocolate nest cakes!  Then on Easter Sunday we celebrated with some chocolate after lunch with a nice glass of Sherry and on Easter Monday we enjoyed a cup of tea/coffee with some hot cross buns on the Market Place.

As usual we have continued with the popular monthly activities which included knitting club, armchairs exercises, Bingo, crosswords and ‘news time’.  We also held our monthly Residents Social ‘Fish and Chip Supper’ and this month we also celebrated our Residents, Hilda and Eleanor’s birthdays and we enjoyed a sing-along with Jan playing her guitar.

March was quite a busy month for activities and we had lots of activities/entertainment tailored towards celebrating St Patrick’s Day on Friday 17th March 2017.

In preparation for St Patrick’s Day we gathered together to decorate some of our own table clothes in keeping with the Irish theme, which looked fantastic!  On Wednesday 15th March 2017 the Alder Hey Choir came and performed a lively selection of Irish songs which we thoroughly enjoyed and then on St Patrick’s Day we all gathered in the Market Place to enjoy some entertainment by ‘Dicky Tickers’.

Finally we enjoyed Mothers Day on Sunday 26th March 2017 and Residents were offered a glass of fizzy wine and a chocolate in celebration.

Betty's Bday

During February some of our Residents had the chance to attend the Empire Theatre to enjoy ‘Modern Millie’, we had a lovely afternoon out and the show was thoroughly enjoyed by our Residents.

A Sister of one of our Residents kindly offered to come in and sing for us in the Market Place this month so we gathered together and enjoyed a wonderful country afternoon.

Elizabeth Bday

We have continued to celebrate our Residents birthdays which this month included Elizabeth, Betty and Maureen where we enjoyed a party for each Resident including a cake!

This month we also enjoyed a tea/coffee morning and some delicious cake in the Market Place which allowed Residents and their families to gather together.
