Activities – July 2017

August 17th, 2017

Again with the nice weather during July we were able to have a couple of day trips out which included; pub lunches, shopping and a trip to Southport, enjoyed thoroughly by all those involved!

This month we had a Garden Party scheduled, however due to the bad weather on the day (the typical British Summer!) we had to relocate our ‘Garden Party’ to the Market Place which had been decorated using bunting which had been specially made by our Residents for the day!  Despite this we had a fantastic turnout and the day went really well, Resident’s, families and friends gathered in the Market Place were we had a tombola, raffles and a cake stall.  We would like to say a massive thank you to Paula in the Rehabilitation Centre who together with the Service Users made lovely cakes which were delicious and proved very popular!

Our usual monthly activities are still proving popular which included the Residents Monthly Social (with numbers once again up!), armchair exercise, crosswords, quizzes, bingo newstime and our normal every day activities as well as celebrating our Residents birthdays.  Craft went really well this month as this included making the bunting for our Garden Party.  This month we have also been playing different board games with our Residents and our reminiscence ball and matt has proved popular as well as the pamper days and hand massage!

40 Years!

In July one of our staff members Jan, celebrated a fantastic 40 years’ service with Christopher Grange.

To celebrate a couple of our longest residing Residents gathered on one of our Residential units to celebrate this achievement and show Jan our appreciation for the commitment she has shown to Christopher Grange.

We would like to thank Jan for all her hard work and dedication to Christopher Grange and our Residents over the last 40 years.
