Rehabilitation Assistant – Christopher Grange are presently looking for a Rehabilitation Assistant to work in the Rehabilitation Centre as a member of a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation team offering a comprehensive range of rehabilitation services to people who are visually impaired.  You will need to be self-motivated, enthusiastic and interested in working with visually impaired people. Good IT skills are essential as is the ability to relate well with people.

Hours:  15hrs over 3 days (10am – 3pm)

Contract:  6 Month Temporary Contract

Full time hours available however we would consider part time.

Activities – September 2018

Active Bingo

This month started with an Active Bingo Session which was attended by residents from different units, exercising and having fun.  

Trips out this month have included shopping trips and going for lunch, which we do every Wednesday.

We also had a Chinese supper this month for those residents who enjoy Chinese food.

Macmillan Coffee Morning

 

The end of the month saw us have a coffee morning for MacMillan Cancer Support, with donations for a coffee and cake, we also had a raffle for a large cupcake.  The day was a success!

Our social went well this month with new residents coming along, our everyday activities are still going well, our book club is now creating much debate with nearing the end of the book  “The Murder of Princess Diana” with lots of different views from our residents.

Last Night at the Proms

 

We also had a singalong to celebrate the Last Night of the Proms, we had Jan on guitar and Sister Helen played the piano which residents who attended appeared to enjoy.

 

 

We had parties for both Peggy and Jean who celebrated their birthday’s this month.
